Palu overview

Palu Travel Guide
Sulawesi Island in Indonesia is a popular tourist destination and its beaches, coupled with its pretty coastline and secret bays and inlets, make it well worth including on a travel itinerary. The mouth of the Palu River hosts the city, and mountains tower over much of Palu, making it a sheltered haven from the storms that roll in during rainy season. The city is home to around a quarter of a million residents and although not a huge tourist destination, it is a pleasant city to wander around, mainly due to its natural surroundings. The usual over-crowding and evidence of poor living conditions are widely seen in the local shanty towns, which visitors may prefer to avoid.
