Jambi overview

Both a city and a province, Jambi is located in Indonesia and an impressive 2.7 million people reside in the area. Much of the architecture here has noticeable Dutch influences and Jambi’s landlocked location means it fails to attract a wealth of visitors. For avid water babies, there are numerous rivers and waterways in the area that more than make up for the lack of coastline although swimming would be questionable at the least in many parts. The city of Jambi is as busy as most Indonesian cities are expected to be, with endless noise and pollution ebbing out of every motorised vehicle on the road, while the outskirts are pretty and green with the majority being farmland.
