Bandung overview

Bandung Travel Guide
Nestled in the central highlands of Java, Bandung is a sprawl of a city which has lost much of the charm of its colonial past. From Jakarta the inter-city highway is probably the easiest way to get into town. Once there travellers can marvel at the traffic congestion. Within the city it is worth checking out the numerous clothing factory stores for some bargains. Further afield is Tangkuban Perahu, an active volcano. A 30-minute walk beyond the main crater is Kawah Domas where visitors can witness volcanic activity such as bubbling mud and sulphur vents. If that doesn’t blow your mind then the ram fighting, which takes place on certain Sundays in villages around Bandung certainly will. Probably not a great idea if you are an animal lover.
