Bali doesn’t need much hard sell. It is the destination where beaches, diving and surfing is plentiful as well as trekking, adventure and sunsets. The weather is gorgeous for most if the year and there is even the odd temple for those thirsty for a bit of culture or the odd artisan knocking out traditional trinkets with which to wow the folks back home with. If a nice sunrise floats your boat then an early morning trip up Mount Batur might be a reason to leave the bar early the night before. The island is not known as the ‘morning of the world’ for no reason. Keep one eye out for taxi scams. That adorable, family run, off the beaten track restaurant the driver recommends will probably be giving him a nice little kick-back.
